- Neck

Flatten one wide side of the African Mahogany blank using planes and sanding plate, then square the two narrow sides. Saw the excess width and then plane/sand to size.

Scarf joint - cut, flatten, glue and finish.

 

Heel - Prepare second blank, cut, glue and shape. Cut taper slots for the sides, and rabbet for the soundboard on top.
